The Midwest Clinic is pleased to present a series of
seven rehearsal labs, designed to provide instruction to directors
in the most concrete, practical way that we can. These are not clinics
but actual rehearsals that pair middle school and high school ensembles
with noted rehearsal technicians. These rehearsals will include warm-up
techniques and sight-reading, as well as rehearsals of pieces familiar
to the ensembles. They are not intended to be polished run throughs,
but dynamic learning opportunities that work toward building a sound
and an understanding. The rehearsal labs have been planned with you
in mind!

About the Rehearsal Technicians:
Rodney C. Dorsey is the Associate Director of Bands at the University
of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Cheryl Floyd is the Director of Bands at Hill Country Middle School
in Austin, TX.
Richard Floyd is the State Director of Music at the University of
Texas at Austin.
Jo Jossim is the Director of Bands at Florida Southern College in
Lakeland.
John R. Locke is the Director of Bands at the University of North
Carolina at Greensboro.
Gloria Ramirez is the Director of the Langham Creek High School Symphonic
Band in Houston, TX.
