The Ringmaster: Programming, Rehearsing, and Conducting for the Beginning Band

Clinic Synopsis:

The beginning year of band instruction has more variation in structure than at any other level. Beginning instruction provides a vital foundation for future achievement, but too often receives inadequate attention due to the challenges and differences from program to program. This presentation examines music selection and preparation for typical levels of performance depending on rehearsal time and will assist directors in selecting, rehearsing, and conducting repertoire for their ensembles.
