Day one clinics are presented by master teachers who have demonstrated a high degree of success in providing sound pedagogical methods for teaching beginning students, or in assisting more advanced students who may have developed bad habits detrimental to producing characteristic tone and/or habits detrimental to technical mastery. Day One clinics will take place in an intimate and personal space so that each attendee may enjoy a close view of demonstrated techniques.
Jennifer Auerbach
- Biographical Information
Jennifer Auerbach is the CEO and founder of the Bocal Majority organization. She holds a bachelor’s degree in bassoon performance from Chicago Musical College and master’s and doctoral degrees in music theory from the University of North Texas. She has taught private bassoon lessons in the Dallas metroplex since 1998 to students in grades 6 through 12 and takes great pride in helping them get to the next level of their playing. She has given numerous clinics at the Texas Music Educators’ Convention, Texas Bandmasters’ Association Convention, The Midwest Clinic, and The International Double Reed Society on the topic of bassoon and double-reed pedagogy. Her goal is to provide high level information in a positive and uplifting teaching environment.
