The Midwest Clinic Chat Rooms provide an arena where teachers will learn from and dialogue with expert practitioners. These brief ‘chats’ allow directors a forum for collaboration in a relaxed, intimate environment. The Chat Rooms have limited seating so attendance is granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Jerriald Dillard

Jerriald Dillard is the Director of Bands and Fine Arts Department Chair at Oak Ridge High School and the Band Facilitator for Conroe Independent School District. He holds both a bachelor's and a master's degree in music from Sam Houston State University.Under his leadership, the Oak Ridge High School Bands have consistently earned Sweepstakes Awards at UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Contests. The Wind Ensemble is a 2025 TMEA Invited Program Spotlight recipient. The Marching Band, co-directed by him, has received multiple UIL Sweepstakes Awards and has advanced to the UIL Area Marching Contest Finals and the UIL State Marching Contest. The Oak Ridge Percussion Ensemble has been a featured invited ensemble at prestigious events, including the Bands of America National Percussion Festival, the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic, the Percussive Arts Society's International Convention, the Western International Band Clinic, and as winners of the Mark of Excellence National Percussion Ensemble Contest.Mr. Dillard's professional affiliations include the Percussive Arts Society, Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, and the Alpha Chapter of Phi Beta Mu. He was inducted into Who's Who Among American Teachers in 2007 and received the University Interscholastic League Sponsor Excellence Award in 2021.Mr. Dillard is an educational endorser for Evans Drumheads, Innovative Percussion, Sabian Cymbals, and Yamaha. He resides in the Oak Ridge community with his wife, Jennifer, who is also a band director, and their daughters, Elizabeth Lee and Jessica Lee.
